Ordering
How do I order?
Simply browse the menu, add your cake to cart, select your size, colours, date and any extras — then checkout! I'll be in touch closer to your pickup or delivery date to confirm everything. Easy. Alternatively, you can fill out the CUSTOM ORDER FORM to get more information.
How much notice do I need to give?
The more notice the better! Online orders close 72 hours before your selected date unless I reach capacity prior. If the date is still showing as available, you're good to go. For custom cakes, get in touch as early as possible so I can organise any special toppers or decorations. I would recommend getting your order in as soon as possible.
How many cakes do you make per week?
Yummelia is a boutique cake studio — I make a maximum of 5-10 cakes per week to ensure every single one gets the love and attention it deserves. Dates fill up fast so don't wait too long!
Can I request a design that's not on the website?
Absolutely — I love getting creative. Head to the CUSTOM CAKE enquiry form and tell me what you're dreaming of. Nothing is too out there.
Do you do wedding cakes?
Yes and I absolutely love being part of your big day! Wedding cakes are custom quoted — reach out via the contact form with your date, guest numbers and any inspo images. Yummelia works in buttercream, not fondant and she has a maximum of 2 tiers.
How far in advance can I order?
Orders open up 2 months in advance eg. August opens up on July 1st. Get in quick as there are limited spots available each week. If you want a date in the future please reach out hello@yummelia.com.au or join the waitlist in the footer to receive a reminder when orders open up.
Pickup & Delivery
Can you deliver outside your zone?
Standard delivery covers within 10km of Caulfield North on Fridays and Saturdays. Outside that range or need a different daytime? Get in touch
Uber Courier is a great option — you place the Uber order through the app and I'll have your cake ready and boxed up. Get in touch and I can walk you through how it works.
Where are you located?
I'm based in Caulfield North, Melbourne. All pickups are from my home cake studio. Further collection details are within the collection email.
What are your pickup times?
Free pickup is available Friday 11am–1pm and Saturday 10am–11am. I'll confirm your exact pickup slot closer to the date. If you need a cake outside of this time frame, please reach out hello@yummelia.com.au
Do you deliver?
Yes! Delivery is available Friday and Saturday within 10km of Caulfield North. Pricing is calculated at checkout. Outside the range? Uber Courier is a great option — just let me know and I can help organise it.
The Cakes
What flavours do you offer?
My cake bases are vanilla and chocolate — the chocolate is my personal favourite, it's moist AF.
Buttercream is vanilla as standard. Want to add a flavour layer? Choose from raspberry, lemon curd, Biscoff, Oreo, dulce de leche, funfetti, choc ganache or cream cheese at checkout.
What sizes do you offer?
I offer 6, 7, 9 and 11 inch cakes in heart or round. Mini heart cakes are 5 inches and mini round are 6 inches. Full size cakes are 4 layers. Slab cakes are available in A4 (quarter sheet) and A3 (half sheet).
Can I get a gluten free cake?
I offer a gluten reduced option made with gluten free flour. Please note these cakes are made in a kitchen that handles gluten and may contain traces. All cakes come labelled with full ingredient information.
Do you offer vegan or dairy free cakes?
Not at this stage unfortunately — hopefully as Yummelia grows!
Can I get a custom message or topper?
es to both! Messages can be handwritten or in fondant letters — just add it in the notes at checkout. Custom cake toppers are available, just reach out and I'll organise one for you.
What's included with every cake?
Every cake comes with a premium white cake board, cake box, ingredient information and a candle. Ready to gift straight away 🎀
Edible Print
I can print any image onto an A4 sized edible print. The lead time for this is 1 week.
How do custom branded cupcakes work?
Your design is printed onto edible wafer paper which is gluten free and vegan friendly. Pop your logo, brand colours and any design notes in the order notes — or send through your brand guidelines after ordering. I need at least one week for printing, so get in touch early if you have a tight turnaround.
Other Bits
I have a nut allergy — is it safe for me to order?
Yummelia operates from a registered home kitchen where a variety of ingredients are used, some of which carry a "may contain traces" label. Whilst every care is taken, I cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment. All cakes and cupcakes come labelled with full ingredient information so you can check before eating. If you have any concerns please reach out before ordering 🎀
Do you offer payment plans?
Payment plans aren't available at this stage
Do custom orders require a deposit?
Wedding cakes and large custom orders require full payment o secure your date. For standard online orders full payment is required at checkout. Your order is not confirmed until payment is received.
What if something isn't right with my cake?
I want you to be completely happy! If you have any concerns about your cake please contact me ASAP with photos and I'll do everything I can to make it right. After 24 hours I'm unable to action any concerns so please don't sit on it — reach out straight away.
Can you recreate a design I've seen somewhere else?
Absolutely — inspo images are so helpful and I love seeing what you have in mind! Please note that I reserve the right to put my own Yummelia spin on designs rather than recreate another baker's work exactly. Every cake I make is unique and made with love — I'll always make sure yours is gorgeous. If you do have inspo pics, please include the originals handle so I can tag them.
Cancellation and refund policy
I put so much love into every cake and once I've started baking, I can't offer a refund. Cancellations made more than 4 days before your collection or delivery date will receive a full refund. Cancellations within 4 days of your collection or delivery date are not eligible for a refund as your cake will already be in progress. Need to reschedule? Let me know at least 5 days before your date and I'll do my best to make it work 🎀
Do you offer payment plans?

Can I make changes to my order after placing it?
Changes to colours, flavours, message or design can be made up to 5 days before your collection date — just reach out and I'll update your order. Size changes may not be possible closer to the date depending on where I'm up to. The sooner you let me know the better!
Do you have a cake tasting box?
Not currently available but keep an eye on the shop — it may make a comeback!
Minimum orders?
1 cake or 12 cupcakes minimum. For bulk orders or wholesale enquiries (mainly cupcakes) please get in touch.
How do I store my cake?
